My Kids took down my front door and painted it cherry red for me because they heard me for years wishing for one! This was for a birthday. I was really touched that they remembered -makes me smile every time I see it. Do you have a touching story about any gifting your kids did?

I have no grandkids yet and my door is a lovely wood stain color, but Monday evening in the shower my youngest son made a heart out of a bar of soap and gave it to me. He knows I am a sucker for hearts as does anyone who is my friend of facebook so it was a very sweet gesture.
My daughter wrote me a letter about why I’m the perfect parent for her, and how much she appreciates me.
Their love and understanding of me.
every time he says I love you
Thanks for answering and I appreciate that things are not important at all, but I kind of wanted the crooked candy bowl, the thing like the door, etc. For xmas one year they made a collage for me with a ton of our pictures. It’s the effort involved, I guess, that I was trying to talk about.
A really simple coaster she made, it literally is a card circle with a picture of her stuck in the middle then decorated around the outside then laminated. It’s a bit battered now but adorns my desk with pride!
