What would get you to go see a play?

This is mostly for people who don’t go to see many plays.
What would it take to get you to go see a play in your city? Would it be the subject? Someone you know personally being in the play? Someone famous locally (not necessarily an actor) being in the play? Recommendation on morning radio, from a friend, posted by someone on Facebook?

It would have to not be a musical. I really cannot stomach the cheery songs in musicals.
Cigs, booze and/or threat of bodily harm if I don’t go.
I don’t need a reason. I would enjoy seeing any kind of play.
$ and my mother being free to watch the kids
I find I travel a lot of the time specifically to see plays. I’ve been to Boston and New York City several times, specifically to go see plays/musicals/stomp. My choral group was also in England two years ago, and when we decided to see a Shakespeare play we pointedly went to Stratford-upon-Avon, so I would say it’s all about location.
Free tickets would do the trick for me.
A Bravo Juliet number before the play.
Opportunity. I love the theater.

Yeah, great minds think alike :)
If I have a child in it, or being faced with a particularly gruesome penalty for not going.
Very little actually, good live theatre is not something to be missed.

When my friends are in it, I pay extremely close attention, and if I am allowed to, I would bring a video camera. Reason? So that I can flash the pictures in front of their faces when they aren’t expecting it.
It would have to be a play I already knew the storyline to, and if I knew the person.
It would need to be an option, for one. It would be more entertaining to go with someone who would enjoy it as well.
