Has your Xbox 360 suffered the dreaded RRoD? And if it has, have you bothered getting a replacement?

Mine died about 8 or 9 months ago, I haven’t bothered replacing it yet though. haha :)

I got one not long after they came out, and yeah, it got a the ring of death a few months afterwards. I never bothered getting it replaced since I got a PS3 instead.

I’ve had 2 RRoD. Microsoft replaced them within a few weeks, for free.

I got my 360 when it first came out. Didn’t red ring until earlier this year. Fallout 3.

Mine RRoD right before Fallout 3. I think it would have been fine but my roommate developed a long term relationship with straight Gin and Bomberman. He would get plastered and play for hours till he just passed out with it running. I think he must have taken a few months off its lifespan :( I want to get it replaced but I’m too lazy and my new apartment doesn’t really have a place for it.

I have one from the first batch and I got the RRoD around January I miss it, but I just haven’t had the money to send it in since it’s out of warranty. My friend knows how to fix it, but it’s been struggle just to get together. All I want is to play some Modern Warfare 2, is that too much to ask?

Mine died a months and so ago. I think the problem was because I moved house and just stuck the xbox 360 on the carpet underneath the TV which may have owned it. I am thinking this becuase we also used my friends xbox that I am living with and it got the rrod as well. I replaced mine, and am keeping it on the table with the TV this time and its working fine.

That xbox lasted 2 years before this though, and was one of the oldest onest (bought it 2nd hand). So I guess if you treat an xbox nicely it won’t error on you. I don’t mind that it died as now I have a thuper quieter one and HDTV which the old one didn’t have. Only cost £60 to replace as I had all of the accessories.
