Does anyone have any hints for getting spider webs off of a textured ceiling?

My ceiling is blown with that Styrofoam stuff. It just collects old, dusty spider web bits like there’s no tomorrow. If I get too aggressive about removing them, the Styrofoam texture gets knocked off….

My mom just used to vacuum the ceiling with the hose attachment, and it worked every time. :)
I’m sure just a regular duster would be sufficient?
i had to do this for my mom recently in the other side of our house which we rent out. i used the vaccuum attachment that is much like this….except smaller. it worked really well. but a lot of dust and stuff fell on my face. gross.
If you are worried about disturbing the surface, use a feather duster on an extension, then vacuum the floor.
@deni maybe that…..
@DrasticDreamer Doesn’t that knock the texture off?
@pjanaway @pd Well, a duster works slowly, but eventually works….it can’t just pick them up like it could on a smooth wall…the Styrofoam just grabs them and won’t let go!
@Val123 Nope. It doesn’t take much to get them down when you vacuum the ceiling.
I happened to try my fuzzy lambswool duster on my textured ceiling in an effort to clean it before painting. It turns out, it didn’t need painting at all. It did a fantastic job.
I take a t-shirt that needs to be washed anyway and throw it at the ceiling several times.
Thanks for your answers, guys!
