How do you program your iphone to send any pictures taken on it to your home computer/email address?

I was reading about a woman who had programed her iphone to do this. She had her phone stolen in a robbery and started receiving photos at her home computer by the person who had her phone.
Does anyone know how to do this and is an application from itunes required?
