How many uniforms are U.S. service men and women issued?
On Jeopardy, the returning champion is a Base Commander in the Air Force. He has been on for 5 days, and won tonight, which will mean it will be his sixth evening in his uniform.
I would have to imagine that if it is his only uniform, it must be getting pretty smelly right about now.
So, do service men and women get issued more than one uniform?

The military personnel usually get several changes of clothing each time, but for the upper ranks, they purchase their own uniforms.
The show you refer to, and many such, film several episodes on the same day, so you could see a whole week worth of shows that were all filmed on the same day. Sometimes the participants are advised to bring several changes of clothing so it won’t look like they are wearing the same shirt/dress all week.
Enlisted members in the Air Force at least, are issued 4 sets of ABUs (the camouflage we wear every day) and 4 “blues” slacks, 3 long sleeve shirts, 3 short sleeve shirts, one dress coat, one hat, etc. But yes, if he’s a base commander he’s making a very good income and would have many sets of uniforms along with someone to clean them and press them for him.
That depends on the branch, the rank, the specialty of the person, and how cozy they are with the Supply Department (or equivalent).
Personally, I was only ever issued ten uniforms, not counting coveralls. After Boot Camp, ever uniform I had was out of my own pocket. If I ruined a shirt or pair of pants, I had to buy the replacement myself. I was given ~$100/year for a uniform allowance, but that didn’t cover much.
As for coveralls, I was only ever officially issued four sets, but I managed to get more without actually buying them or having them issued to me. But coveralls are something that not all Navy ratings ever get. Engineering always does since it’s pretty much what they wear all the time, Deck usually gets a pair for dirty work, and certain airdales may get a set as well. Then again, they really are not an “official” uniform and we were not allowed off the pier in them.
