I am doing a project for class in adobe illustrator and seem to have come to a stalemate! Can anyone help me? My project is due early Monday morning, and I had wanted to finish tonight!

im not sure exactly what you’re asking. In my limited experience with Illustrator I probably can’t help you anyway, but it would be good to know what you were asking…
Hi Ava!
I asked some people who know Illustrator & here’s what they told me:
I usually export it as a psd and then open it up in cs2 to finish up stuff. Not saying that Illustrator doesn’t have the capacity to do such—I just am not familiar enough with the program to do all of the effects. It is much faster for me to do it in cs2.
Another person said they didn’t think it was possible to do it in Illustrator.
I hope that helps even a little bit.
I’m not sure what exactly you are trying to accomplish, but you could possibly expand the Live Paint object, then apply gradient mesh, or alternatively copy & paste in place the object, remove the live paint, apply gradient mesh and then set the blending of the gradient mesh object to multiply (and/or reduce opacity).
Using layers would probably be helpful as well.
