I am new here (from AB) and I was the expert in the Adult section. What would be the best section to focus on here?

Some young kids are on here-keep it light.

There is no section per se, but sex is often discussed quite openly, and I do not believe that you will find that there are any limits as to what can be discussed as long as you have the courtesy to indicate that the content of the question or discussion is intended for adults, so that people who prefer not to be exposed to such content can opt out. We generally use the convention NSFW, but I’m sure you could say “Adult” or use any other term making it clear that some people may object.

@Violet: Think about what you would like a teen-aged child to read here. There have been

I also moderated the adult section. So, I do not find it acceptable for people to ask question like “do you want to hook up”. I also report all confessions of child molestation to the FBI. While I am a very sexual person, I can also be conservative at time, I am all for rules, following rules, and enforcing rules (can you tell what my major is? lol).

@Violet Confessions of child molestation? Did you actually have them?

I think questions like “Do you want to hook up” would not meet the fluther guidelines. I think that sounds like a polling question. However, we have had many discussions about hooking up, since it is a concept that is somewhat scary to some of us. In my case, it’s not because I have any problem with people having many partners; it’s more because I think it involves a hurtful separation between emotions and body.

So are you in CJ?

And seriously, don’t worry about keeping it PG-13. Just keep it respectful and informative, and it should be fine.

@daloon – I don’t know what a CJ is. And yes, I found many confession of child molesters, and confessions to other felonies.. Within our adult section, we had pretty nasty subcategories: toilet slaves, bestiality, incest. And those were becoming quite popular.

I had never heard of a toilet slave before this question. Not sure I’m terribly happy to know about it now!

@augustlan I think they lick the toilet and do other various things that are seldom a “toilets” job.

@Axemusica There are some things that I could have lived my life perfectly well without ever knowing. So, do they clean the toilets first, or is part of the pleasure in risking illness? I have a question concerning sex, @Violet. I used to think that tats were a turn-off, until I met a woman with one on her back. Nothing very shocking. You’ll get used to the fact that the subject isn’t concentrated in one area. Feel free to open discussions. Just label them so people who object won’t go in.

I used to hate what I thought was over-moderation, now I’m glad we have it. Give it a chance.

I agree with @pdworkin – give it a chance and remember, it aint called a “collective” for nothing. When you “joined” you have to learn to play by the rules. Ultimately, you’ll probably find that as imperfect as it is (as are you and I) it’s better than the alternative. And hey, please all please none.
