My techie pants.

I had these incredible pants that I wore to build the sets for the musicals in high school. They were covered in paint, drawings from friends, a few autographs, and they fit SO well.

They were also magical. They saved the day countless times, and I aced every exam I wore them to.

But then sophomore year of college I was painting in them, and somehow they ended up getting carried back to the tech room with all the supplies, and I think thrown out:( To this day I miss them sooo much.

When I moved out after college, I left a lot of things in my old room that my dad eventually got rid of. Nothing major, but a lot of sentimental value. High school yearbooks, letters from friends, videos and photos, collectibles OK, toys that my daughter would love to have now, stuffed animals, and other mementos.

Also, in college I dropped my high school class ring down the sink drain. No one was ever able to find it, and even though I wouldn’t wear it now, it would be nice to have. I wish I hadn’t sold my acoustic guitar in a garage sale, and I wish I hadn’t lost that grubby old t-shirt given to me by the singer in this band my friends and I stalked saw a lot of in college.

More than anything though, I wish I hadn’t lost that effortlessly slim body I used to have. I think my kids stole it, and the little bastards won’t give it back. I’m making good progress on earning it back at the gym, but dammit, it’s taking too long!

My mind lol…seriously though I do feel like I’ve lost motivation and mental energy. I studied for several years to gain my Degree and achieved the career that I was striving towards.

Sometimes I wonder if it was all worth it as I’m mentally drained all the time and the job is very demanding and thankless. But alas I need the money to keep a roof over my head boo hoo!!

The years I wasted in guilt over people and situations and events in the distant past I had no control over and no power to stop. I used that “guilt” as an excuse to not do anything with my life except wish.

curlysue's avatar

The great figure i had before i had kids.

MissAusten's avatar

@curlysue At first I misread “figure” and thought you said “future.” I was like, “Wow, that’s harsh!” lol

Grat Caesar’s ghost, that is real easy. The most important thing I ever lost I wish I could somehow get back is time. Time, time, time….......that you can’t replace….....

Cruiser's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central OK…besides time and that sucker bet at the race track…what do you wish you had back?? :)

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Cruiser OK. living beings in that order my mom back. my 1st favorite cat, Queenie, my 2nd one Sierra, her daughter Smudges (which was felled by a hit and run). Things that were not living I wish I had my ‘73 Dodge Challenger, my photoghraphy equipment, and lastly my ‘73 Toyota Carona wagon. :-)

Cruiser's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central If When I ever get my “68 Camaro back I will race ya!! ;)

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Cruiser You think you can take me in that Challenger? El Caminos tried and failed Hahahahah! <Thunder and lighting roaring>

Cruiser's avatar

I would throw it down if I didn’t KNOW it!! Even though my 13 yr old would put his money on a Challenger though! My second favorite car.

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Cruiser Thank heavens at least your kid know what REAL cars was not this plastic crap they build these days Hahahaha

Cruiser's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central Plastic wasn’t invented until 1969!! ;)

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Cruiser I meant he kwows real cars (then) as oppose to plastic cars (today) which I wonder why they don’t float with all the plastic parts.

I stupidly ignorantly allowed my husband to sell my father’s 14K jewel studded (diamond, emerald, ruby)company ring at Numismatics. I stupidly ignorantly allowed my husband to tell me to drop my 50W stereo record player down his burning hole. I THINK I’M INDEPENDENT BUT EVIDENTLY I’M A WEAK, DEPENDENT DOPE. ))-: so now I’m happy I gave 90% of his jeans to Goodwill. But he didn’t really care.
Then for people, I lost my best friend to cancer.
