Looks like you’ve got a Maine Coon on your hands. Loves to snuggle and gentle as morning rain?
Could be a Maine Coon. Polydactyl at all?
Charming guy, whatever his origins.
It is a main coon I know them any were lovely cats, very large cats as well
Yeah, I was thinking maybe he’s a maine coon mix.
He’s very sweet.
One strange thing I should mention about him is that he has these tufts of hair between his toes that I’ve never seen on any cat before.
@stemnyjones That’s a classic Coonie trait. Congrats! It’s a kitteh.
He’s not a Maine Coon. But the tufts of hair between the toes and the tail suggest he has a little bit of Maine Coon in him… that and his size… he looks like a big boy. But he’s missing the facial features of a Maine Coon.
@poofandmook Yeah, I don’t think he’s a purebred cat – we got him for free off of craigslist, lol. But I’m glad to have solved some of the mystery of what he is. ;D
@stemnyjones: yeah, I have sisters. Same colorings… marmalade tabby… but one (mook) looks like a regular old domestic short hair. But the other (poof).. she looks purebred Maine Coon. She was the only one in the whole litter to have any Coon traits, and she stole all of them… lol.. she’s a Coon right down to the personality traits. She’s textbook Coon, but she’s a mix. Go figure.. lol
He might have some Maine Coon in him.I have two Maine Coons and if your cat acts anything like my two,you will fall in love.They are beautiful,smart and affectionate :)
I’d say Maine Coon as well! Lynx tips, paw tufts, general fluff, patterning. I’ve got one and she’s so cuddly! She was actually a stray kitten who adopted us.
Although some Norwegian Forest Cats look nearly the same. The difference there is that the NFCs have a layer of longer, slippery, water-proof hair for snow times, and often have a slightly longer coat overall.
Looks like Maine Coon. And what the heck the happened to the baby?!!!!!!!!
@stemnyjones Whew! That’s a relief.Got a little scared there for a moment when I saw the cat in the crib and no baby.
