Is it okay to thank all the staff and members of fluther for letting us crash on their couch, via a question?

I know it must be a little weird to have a bunch of know it alls come in out of the rain and make ourselves at home. I would like to thank you all for your understanding and patience while we’re adjusting to this new site. Any feed back is welcome. If you’re not happy with the deluge of new members from AB, let me know your reasons why. Thank you all.

I think we should just try our hardest to fit right in…leave the past behind us…that is the best way to become accustomed to the site…
You’re welcome! We’ve been through many influxes before and know how to handle it better now. Besides, you guys are nice!
From what Ive found so far from my research of this site the People of Fluther are just Great. I think we all should be so thankful to have a very Welcoming Site to call home. Thanks to all of you!
Welcome! Kick your shoes off and get comfy on the couch!
@loser I love comfy couches!! See I knew I was right about this site fellow ABers!
That was a nice thing to say reptar. So unlike you lol:)
Ahhh thanks Sir Mickey…I can feel the love!!! LOl
Good Morning Friends!
You are welcome to our nicest couch near the big-screen TV!
I would like to thank all of you for your respectful integration into Fluther culture. It is fantastic getting to know such knowledgeable new Jellies.
You guys are great! In the past we’ve had some really rocky experiences with refugees from other sites. The ABers seem to be a lot more interested in learning the Fluther culture and diving in and having fun than in changing the site to be like the one they came from. That’s rather helpful.
I would like to second that… I’ve spent more time lurking than anything, but from that I have got to see you guys have all been very welcoming – and I really hope that we will all fit right into our new home here. Thanks all at Fluther!! =)
Hey Champ! I’m thankful that it brought me and many of my friends back together!
Welcome, friends! Great to have you here!
Thanks for the lynx Dog. I’m about to check them out now.
Hello and thank you to everyone!!!
It’s been a crazy weekend so far, Redneck party was a hit to those who know what I’m talking about. I’m just now recovering.
Thanks again for the welcome everyone!
Welcome to all, wherever you are from and however you found us. We understand the community feel and gave experienced growing pains, as well.
Feel free to explore the depths of Fluther, and comment where you feel you have something valuable to add, regardless of the age of the question. I, for one, get a kick out of seeing older questions and answers get Lurve and new comments. And new people means a surge of new questions and perspectives, too!
As far as I’m concerned, the more ‘know-it-all’s around to answer all my trivial little questions, the better! Welcome to the collective! XD
The site made a special welcome just for us tossed overboard AB users, pretty sweet. Thanks to all the staff and members. Nice site you have here!
We’re happy to have you! Just a quick note from the mods side: Do not feel targeted if any of your Qs are pushed to editing by us. In the beginning of joining this site, that can be an issue for some because they aren’t used to our guidelines/format. But we try to work with you to get that question back up by rephrasing or something similar. Most of the time, it’s just the issue of some glaring spelling errors. It might seem like nitpicking to some, but keeping up site quality is high priority for us since it is one of the things that distinguishes Fluther from other sites. Also, know that everyone gets modded eventually, even mods I know I have. It’s hard to be good at all times so it’s really not personal. Thank you for being so cooperative with us and making a genuine effort to learn our culture.
Again, welcome and enjoy your stay! =D
One minor point I want to make. A Fluther convention is that you can comment to a specific person on a public thread by using the @ and their name from the drop down box. We also usually make these side comments in tinier type. More private side comments can be made by using the comment feature on the sidebar.
Welcome again all!
@PnL Thanks for the info on the mods. I will truly benefit from your hard work. I have a quick wit and many thought provoking questions to share with you all, but alas I have very poor spelling g and grammar. its very frustrating to know what I want to ask, and what to say, but not having the tools to do so. My browser does comes with a spell check so you can read this. Thank you firefox. A mod already saved me on one mistake already yesterday. I was very pleased with the whole situation. It’s like having someone watching my back so I don’t make an fool out of my self. thank you.
@janbb This also is great info, thank you, I’m a learning.
I think it’s probbaly fine.
However I’m not gonna try to fit, I’m just gonna be myself.
…
That IS how we fit in over here, right?
