I say besides iPod and iPhone because I feel like that’s the easy answer and would get the overwhelming majority of the vote, so aside from those two…Blackberry? Kindle? USB Flash Drive? DVR? GPS? Wii? (just some examples)
I don’t even own an iPod or iPhone so I don’t know actually know if/how great they actually are.

Wii….......its influential from the standpoint that maybe the game will get some people off their rear and exercise playing the game. this may not be the best gadget, but it should be in the top ten. john
Was the applepeelercorerslicer from this decade?
The Graty!
The Slap-Chop!
The Sham-Wow
The Fleshlight?
The Graty/ Fleshlight bombed…..
I’m a huge fan of the LED candle: all of the flicker, none of the flame.
SatNavs in cars.
DSG.
MP3 Player.
The George Forman Grille. was that this decade?
Blackberry has been around since the 90s, so no to that one. Kindle, well I have one, and it’s GREAT but I think it’s going to take a while before the public latches onto it, if they ever do.
Since I can’t say iPhone/iPod…well, I’d have to say the Wii and Nintendo DS. They really have shaped up gaming and made it more appealing to people of all demographics.
flat panel TVs ! No more half a ton TVs/ years ago my family bought a 38 inch Sony CRT Tv,,,,,,,295 pounds !!!!!!! We had to purchase a special TV stand for it and we all prayed it would not end up crashing thru the floor and end up in the basement !!
the touch screen it will be the future
GPS as applied to cpmmercial use. How did we get along without it?
3G phones? So many of the biggest advances involve cell phones (applications, Android, social networking) and wouldn’t be feasible without fast internet speeds.
@VohuManah
Dunno..first iPhone was EDGE only (no 3G) and look how revolutionary that was still.
Many phones are still EDGE only and even those with 3G, well, I don’t think they are that much faster.
Now maybe in the future, we’re going to see 4G rolled out and (in T-Mobile’s case) 3G being updated to accommodate more users and faster speeds. That may shake some things up a bit.
Slap chop definitely. I slap my problems away everyday with the slap chop.
I vote GPS too. I use my handheld everyday when I run or ride, I like to know exactly how far I have gone. And when in a strange town to navigate. It is the greatest!
