To anyone who has finals in the upcoming weeks, how do you reward yourself afterwards?

I’m rewarding myself through the cunning use of my college roommate. She’s coming to visit! Sure, I’ll have one final left when she gets here, but she’s coming to visit! What more could I want? What a great reward!

Lucky girl, she’s already done with finals. Sigh.

I’m broke and have a ton of presents to make. I’ll do nothing to reward myself til the new year…when the new semester starts..yay..

I reward myself with sleep, the commodity I prize over all others. Honestly, we had our end of semester blow out last night, and I don’t start testing till Tuesday. By the time my testing is done, I’ll have just enough time to pack, jump a bus to Boston, and maybe get home in time for dinner.

Since mine is late at night (oh, joy), a friend in the same class is coming over to my place for a movie (Hellboy, I think) and pizza (yum!) and more junk food. :D

And then I’m headed to my parent’s place for Christmas. Which is nice, sort of.

I have finals every nine weeks. There is no reward really.

Sleep, sex and alcohol.
But really, no celebration.. Just relaxing.

I’m finishing up the editing on my paper and will be submitting it shortly after my husband edits it again. My final was last Thursday. I celebrated with not thinking about the paper I had to write and eating Ghirardelli peppermint bark and having a lot of sex with my husband.

Tomorrow night I’ll color my hair for the first time in years.

You have to do something to celebrate!!

I’ll reward myself by getting to go to bed at a decent time. I’m really looking forward to that. (I’m done the 19th!!)

I reward myself by taking time to read things that I actually want to read, sleeping 8 hours a night, and being generally very bored so that by the time the next semester rolls around, I’ll be thankful for something to do.

I’ve been letting myself fuck around on Fluther as long as I feel I am doing sufficient studying. I only have one more final to go, on Wednesday.

im going back to my hometown to spend christmas with my family! soo excited. of course there’ll be lots of drinking, ice-fishing, snowboarding and snowmobiling involved! i can’t wait!

@pdworkin: Maybe you’ll get lucky and it won’t snow then. Sheet ice here in the hill country.

I agree with @rangerr, (finally) sleeping, (more) sex, and (finally) alcohol.

Because I’m super lame and have lots of outstanding work that I gave lame excuses about that I’ll be finishing at home and emailing in, I won’t celebrate for a while. Hug from my mom? Works for me.

Last one tomorrow, then I can run amok in the streets. After that it will be a nice long beer-induced slumber.

I am done at 1 pm on the 18th. Too bad my exams last four hours. Four fucking hours. After that, top priority is catching up on sleep and then more sleep. After that I get to have a date night with @delirium and @lefteh !!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! Study hard, it will be worth it later on!! Oh and GTFO Fluther. Sorry, someone had to say it.

@PnL I have 5 more to go (I just got back from my first one) and don’t leave for home until Friday afternoon. That sucks about the 4 hours- my two lab tests were the week before finals so I don’t have to worry about them this week. Andd of courseeeee I’m only using fluther as my study breaks because without something to distract me I may go insane!!

Though this question was asked a month ago, I had my finals this past week. I had two on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but unfortunately, I was sick on Tuesday and Wednesday so I have to do four makeups. :( I’ve already done three, so I have one more exam to take (tomorrow) and then I’m done! I’m rewarding myself by seeing Avatar again, only this time in IMAX :D

OMG I WANT TO SEE AVATAR IN IMAX SOO BAD!! sorry maybe that’s a little over the top but I made plans to see it 3 times with my boyfriend and we never did and now I’m 200 miles away so it’s never gonna happen while it’s in Imax. enjoy it for me :)
