How do you feel about Apple's upcoming e-reader?
According to the Economist, Apple will be releasing it’s own e-reader in January and will thus enter on the market as a competitor to Amazon’s Kindle and B&N’s Nook.

I don’t know what I will feel until this is officially released. I have heard a lot of speculation: it’s an e-reader, it’s a media tablet, it’s a netbook. It could be cool either way, but so far I am excited.
Same as the last 10 products they have over-hyped, will ignore them and get what i want
@NadaNormal :: “over-hyped”? They haven’t sad anything about it. The only news we have are rumors.
I’m not as much interested in it as a duplicate of the Kindle or Sony, but the tablet idea is intriguing.
The Newton was way ahead of its’ time so if this would be an updated version of it, that has some exciting possibilities.
I’d be very interested to see what they come up with.
I feel I won’t be purchasing that item.
I like the feel of a real book too much to feel good about an e-book reader, personally. I still print off my notes instead of reading them off my screen if I can.
It’ll be overpriced and underspeced but have a great interface,
I’m going to assume that if it is released it will be like a big iPod Touch with a App for reading eBooks you can buy from iTunes.
I just got my iPhone a week ago and I am thrilled with it. I think Apple is great at designing intuitive interfaces. Having said that, I really love the physicality of books and do not, as yet, feel the need for a reader.
When will they combine a reader into an MP3 player? I’d buy that.
I waiting for Apple to make a cell phone/internet browser/gaming system/music player/automobile/toilet.
I’ll give it a try, so far I haven’t found one I like.
@erichw1504, so I can make a call while watching porn, fragging n00bs, and blasting Weezy on my way to work without the need for pit stops along the way?
I’LL TAKE FOUR.
I am very interested in the tablet. Just like @janbb said, I like the feeling of an actual book instead of a screen (that doesn’t include the kindle though, e-ink feels natural to me) so even if I do buy it I won’t be using it for much reading.
@erichw1504 – That got a laugh out of me and I needed it! Thanks mate!
