The Act increases the ability of law enforcement agencies to search telephone, e-mail communications, medical, financial, and other records.

I doubt it. The right would use it to eviscerate him if something bad happened.
I don’t think he will. If he does, and there is a terrorist attack, he’ll be lynched by the right.
Sadly, he’s already taken steps to not reverse it.
I, personally have NOTHING to hide anyway… so they can go right ahead and tap my phones, e-mail, financial and personal records all he wants…..
I would think only a person with a guilty conscious or something to hide would really worry about stuff like this… especially since there are so many other SERIOUS things to worry about that out government is doing .
Sadly, the worst manifestations of a police state can come about when you don’t have anything to hide, but the investigators think you do anyway.

I don’t know what you mean by “reverse.” Will he veto a reauthorization of the bill? I think so. Then again, he might not. What do you mean?
Well, he hasn’t so far and there’s no indication that he will.
Of course not. Those who own him (bought him before the election) support these governmental powers. They want to use them against you and I.
I highly doubt that any president will unless they run on a platform based on it. Taking away the patriot act simply isn’t in the president’s best interests.
Well, @LocoLuke, I do remember hearing Obama claim to want to do away with a lot of it during his run for President. Sadly, I don’t think his campaign page says anything about that particular plank any more…
@HighShaman I once lived with a woman who had been a deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff for about ten years. One of the most frightening things that she told me was, __“If you’re questioned by the police in the case of a crime (and you’re not the obvious victim) never volunteer information. In fact, don’t even have the interview without an attorney present. If you’re being questioned, then you’re a potential or likely suspect, and they are using everything you say to build a case. Guilt or innocence has nothing to do with our ‘justice system’, only “what can be proved”.__ Whatever you say can and will be used against you.
She had a lot of good and helpful advice about dealing with cops—and she liked and was proud of her own experience—but she was deadly serious whenever she mentioned this.
Anyway, that’s not directly relevant to the question, but it’s applicable, I think. The PATRIOT Act isn’t about law enforcement, security, making our lives better or any of the other pabulum that we’re served: It’s all and only about government accumulation of power and control over citizens. I don’t expect it to be overturned without a sea change in our entire system of government.
Why are my __italics__ not working, anyway? The Live Preview looks fine, and the finished product… not.
@CyanoticWasp I had the same problem for a while. Check to see if you are doubling the underscore – you only should put on in front and one after the text.
