Problem with my iPod nano 3rd generation?

Asked by Christian95 (3263points) December 15th, 2009

2 days ago I used my iPod and everything was normal than I putted it on my desk(no one touched it after that). When I wanted to use it again it refused to open,it remained black no matter what I’ve done to him. When I connect it to my computer(PC),iTunes tells me that my iPod is corrupt and I have to restore it.When I click restore it appears a bar which shows me the progress. It stays in waiting for 5 hours and than it tells me that an error occured. What can I do.Should I buy a new one?

This happened to mine and I made the WRONG choice to open the case (without the correct tool) and caused additional damage. I remember that I found a website complete with pictures (AFTER I ruined it) that explained how to reboot the little sucker.

I highly recommend going to this site.

It’s most useful for repairing/finding new parts for apple products.
