I think it was deserved and I liked the fact that he won because it wasn’t expected. I don’t even care about sport and it doesn’t really bother me who wins ultimately but at least it made the awards more interesting because there was an unexpected twist.

I don’t agree with “personality of the year”!
He’s not done much this year and he’s got no personality.
A special award/gong would’ve been more appropriate all for his years in Football (and pretending to be Welsh).

Guys he is 36 years old and in his 20th season for Man Utd. He is still a key player for a top team and still has the legs to outpace most of the English League’s rightbacks. He plays a winger and was made to play recently at left back position and delivered splendidly as well.

Considering most outfield footballers retire by 32, what he is doing is amazing!

@anoop66 I only said he’s not done much this year in comparison to others that were on the list!

I also think Valentino Rossi should’ve had the International Award!

I don’t follow Valentino Rossi’s sport, so can’t comment on that. He has the 2nd highest assists in the league and played all the matches. I think its a token of appreciation for is entire career maybe? Who else was on the list, mate?

Atleast Tiger Woods wasn’t in contention this time, I guess :_()
