Remember the 10 little boxes of cereal?

I sure do! I use to BEG that my parent buy them for me! But with 8 kids to feed, it wasn’t economical to say the least!!! Good Question john!!!

No, I can’t remember their names, but I was one of the few people who actually used the box as a serving bowl!

All the bags inside were waxed, and they even had instructions on the box for converting the box into a serving dish.

I remember them when we went camping. It was the only time is was economical to buy them. I also remember that if you cut along the dotted lines the bow would make a “bowl” that could contain milk for a reasonable amount of time (thanks to the wax paper liner).

There are still little boxes of cereal packaged together and sold separately. I buy them when I travel. Are they different now?

You mean the Variety Pack? I do….loved them. That was back when “Corn Pops” were “Sugar Pops”....endorsed by Quickdraw McGraw, himself. :-)

Super Sugar Crisps, Sparkled Flakes, Alpha Bits are the ones I remember. I think it was a 6 pack and you got two of each.

Corn Pops, Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops and Cheerios are the only little box cereals that I can remember right now. Those were just at the end of their popularity when I was a young’n, but I do remember them now that you mention it! Lurve for the nostalgia.

I remember the Kellogg’s version with all the sweet cereals and corn flakes.

Let’s see, there was Dasher and Dancer, Comet and Cupid…

Yes, I love those. I still eat them at hotel breakfast buffets. My favorite are the Fruit Loops.

Of course! There was always that lonely box left behind. Was it Grape Nuts? yuck

Aw, this is lame! The only good one is the Froot Loops. No Corn Pops? No Cocoa Krispies? No Apple Jacks? No Honey Smacks? Boo!!

I love Honey Smacks. I think they were Sugar Smacks when I was little.

Ooooo! I do remember them! I liked the Frosted Flakes and Apple Jacks. And I HATED Sugar Pops! I always felt that there was not enough cereal in the boxes, but it was a really cool way to have breakfast in the morning. Thanks for that bit of nostalgia. I’ve been downright sad for a few days and this has lifted my mood a bit.
