I thought I’d start a new thread since it’s a question I’d like think the answers would be quite interesting. Plus I didn’t want to actually take away from the thread.
In this thread some answers sound like they might have actually happened to people.
I want to know what mistake you yourself had done at company holiday party. Any takers?
or for the people that actually said something in that thread, did that actually happen to you?

I can honestly say that I have always behaved myself at our company parties. Anyone that knows me knows how hard that is for me too..:)
It’s really fortunate for me that we don’t have holiday parties.
I have gotten a little too drunk at a couple of parties, but nothing overly embarrassing. One time I was sitting down to eat and suddenly realized I was wasted. My friend had to clean food off of my suit. The guy across from me, who happened to be one of my bosses, laughed his ass off. I was so not the person they expected that from.
Last year I embarrassed my husband at his company party. The wife of one of his coworkers and I were dancing to Latin music, which is completely out of my realm of experience but I was giving it my all. She twirled me around and I dropped my glass – yes, glass – on the dance floor. The year before I kept complaining that my husband wouldn’t dance with me. I told his Director, who adored both of us, ahd she told the CIO. The CIO and his wife gifted us with Arthur Murray dance lessons a couple of weeks later. My husband was mortified. I still laugh about it.
Yeah. The last I heard they still haven’t gotten the stains off of the ceiling.
@Blondesjon I am proud to say we are in the same league here! I have been the “something to talk about” at a holiday Christmas party. When I was in my early 20’s I got so smashed at the holiday party that I couldn’t even walk home. We lived about a third of a mile from where I worked.
