They say you should have 6–8 hours of sleep per 24 hours but I find the I need a nap in the afternoon if I get less than 8. I also have had a conversation with my friends mother while she was completely asleep. She remembered nothing of it and it seemed rather like I was interacting with her dream. Anything interesting happen to you?

i can sleep talk too…
and i sleep at random time and at random hour
Delayed sleep phase disorder. As a result, the doctors gave me this little regimen to follow which includes standing in the sunlight for 45 minutes the very second I wake up, before doing anything else. No showers, no breakfast. Let me tell you, I’m sick of the damn sun. Also: no naps. ever. no sleeping in either. But hey, at least I’m waking up roughly when normal people do.
Still not getting enough sleep.
I get 4 hours a day max. I can’t physically get any more than that
I can be totally rested if people would just let me sleep as I would like to sleep. I work on computer until 1:00 to 3:00 a.m. And I get up at 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. I require 10 to 12 hours sleep a night, but part of this is due to medication. Since I’m retired, I don’t HAVE to get up early. I just wish my family would stop trying to interfere with MY “regular” sleep!
I think sleep habits can be learned. Some military people, for example, still stay on the military sleep scedule even after they’re out.
As for the sleep talking, I used to sleep walk and talk a couple times a night when I was younger. I don’t do it anymore though. My cousin and little sister did to so maybe that’s something in the genes.
I can’t sleep at night because I can’t turn off my brain. So I usually don’t sleep till I’m exhausted. So needless to say I am always tired.
