I want to purchase a brand new Toyota Solara. this vehicle is not produced anymore by Toyota. the last date of manufacture was 2008. Across America, there has to be one brand new Solara that has not been sold. what happens to new automobiles that are not sold at the end of the model year?

Oh…I’m pretty sure that they are all sold at some point. I used to ask myself how WalMart could possibly sell every stinking item on all their display shelves. Surely, some of it just sits there for year after year. Right?

They get sold to other people… people who will be successful selling them.

Most of them around here are usually leased to consumers for a lower price. Or a rental car agency will buy them.

Lots of times they get sold at auction, or are used as dealer cars.

some are sent to leasing agents and some that have already went to the dealership are sent to auto auctions. Get anything you can.

Around here they either go to the auction house or are sent to the used car lot.

Maybe they end up as the stunt cars on “Die Hard” movies!

Sent off to rental agencies, I would guess.

Less demand makes prices go down. Eventually they are cheap enough to be considered a bargain.
