I read these days the news about Nokia sues Apple and then Apple sues Nokia both for patent issues. Which one do you believe infringes the patents of the other? Which one do you consider more advanced technologicaly?
Also here you’ll find a funny apple iphone vs nokia e70

As usual, Gruber has captured the essence of the issue:
The big question about this dispute all along has been why Apple didn’t just license Nokia’s GSM/UMTS patents. Supposedly every other GSM phone maker (or at least all the other major ones) does, and they’re relatively cheap. The answer is that Nokia didn’t just want licensing fees from Apple: they wanted cross-license rights to Apple’s own iPhone patents.
That page was pretty hilarious, but needs to be updated, since the iPhone was updated recently. P.S. I have a RAZR2 and I love it.
I think remember reading that Apple couldn’t licence GSM/UMTS patents cause Apple doesn’t belong at the multimembered group Nokia cooperates with
@robmandu – How did you get that type of text type and size?
@ChazMaz put @ signs on either side of your text and…
voila
!
I consider Nokia more advanced because Apple has just gone crazy with all its products and Nokia has stayed smart and made its products easy to use.
@phil196662, a hah ha hah ahah haha haha ha ha… ha aha hahaha ahah… heh… giggle… whew. Man, you’re funny. I won’t challenge the “easy to use” but will say that staying competitive and relevant appears to be a bit of a challenge for them.
Nokia has always been the technical innovator. They just can’t get their design and usability right.
Nokia is more innovative and it’s N series have touch of magnificence.Apple on the other hand focusses more of the UI and the Web features than the hardware.Nokia has specialization is building cell-phones,so they always come out with the innovative products along with new series. They guarantee you good service and support too.
The sad part of the story is,not all Nokia cell-phones are manufactured in the original factory. They are assembled in different corners of the world and in some instances, they suffer from bad workmenship, but nothing to worry as long as you have the Genuine Nokia Logo on it.You could easily get a replacement.
.
Talking about features and technical innovation, nokia leads all,but the Symbian OS that it uses has got one demerit. They hang too often.Apple Iphoes on the other hand use MAC OS which has better scalability than that of Nokia, but Nokia rules the cell-phone technology with respect to both hardware and software performance.
yes Symbian OS never perfected the way i see it and that is why Nokia now uses linux os for its top models like the N900
Nokia is s l o w e l y catching up, just like GMC after there bailout!
