Quickest way to get over jet lag?

I booked the cheapest flight home for the holidays, and I just realized that I only gave myself about 2 days before school starts to get back on CET (Central European Time), which is 9 hours ahead of the time zone back home.
Does anybody have an effective method to prevent or get over jet lag quickly?

About ten minutes of pure oxygen works for me.
Next time you fly, ask the captain to go “warp speed”. Works everytime.
I think the newest data says to not eat for a time, and then eating according to the new time zone should sort of snap your body into it. Let’s see if I can find the article… Here’s one! I seem to remember seeing this in the NY Times or BBC but I can’t find that at the moment. So I guess just try not to eat the day you depart, then when it’s supposed to be morning in your new time zone, eat! Your body should recognize that as morning. They just don’t go to sleep till normal bedtime in that time zone.
adjust yourself to your destinations time zone a a couple days before you leave, so when you arrive you are already on that time zones clock.
I could use a little help too. I’m flying from the west coast to the east coast on Monday January 3rd and I won’t get home until about 2 AM Tuesday morning, then, I have to wake up at 6 AM and go to school that same day. Add jet lag, It’s going to be absolute hell.
Receiving oral sex is the best cure.
It is best to avoid caffeine and alcohol on the flight. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water (better your own that you bring on board).
When you arrive, try to stay up until a normal bedtime in your new time zone. Then go to sleep.
Normally after a 24 hour flight of drinking, I normally go out drinking a couple hours after I land.. haha!
After you get where you’re going, take off your shoes and your socks then walk around on the rug bare foot and make fists with your toes. (Just don’t do it in Nakatomi Plaza the night of their big Christmas party).

@fireinthepriory mmmm…I like that idea, so interesting. I’ll give it a try on my way back, but it’ll be so hard resisting airplane food.
