Is your generosity limited to the end-of-the-year holiday season?
There are so many ways to be generous with money, time, and talent. You can give to worthy charitable causes. You can volunteer at many different kinds of places like libraries or such. You can act in plays and bring the arts to your community.
Are you generous with your money, time, and talents at any time or just during the holidays?

It is an on going thing.
Not dictated by holiday.
Not at all. I give throughout the year. Money, clothes, shoes. I don’t give out Christmas gifts or cards.
Christmas is all year long in these parts.
Not at all. It’s pretty selfish, but I do my volunteer work and give my money to my cause and that’s it. I value my personal life too much. I will do more when I’m older and am less apathetic. I’m not doing a lot, but it’s something.
My charitable activity is evenly spread throughout the year. Some people seem to require this season as a reminder of the needs of others, I don’t. If there is any increase in my giving it is after this season is over. The winter weather gets worse and colder and people seem to need help even more in January through March just to get by.
Well, that depends on how you look at it.
I bring coffee to the local cops and fire station throughout the year. I volunteer at my church, and always help people I see when they need it. (I like the human interaction. Most recently, I used my AAA card on a woman whose car broke down.) And I donate to charities that I believe in.
Some would call that quite a lot, some would call it near nothing. Again, depends on how you look at it. :)
@taciturnu : Your kind of giving is exactly what this question was designed to bring out. Thank you.
No, I donate to charities all year (mostly animal related), if I have change on me, I put money in meters that have ran out, I give money to homeless people on a regular basis.
I have also paid the tab for older people in restaurants as I am leaving.
No; I try to be generous as I can with my time and myself , as well as with my wallet as my finances/budget allow…..
My generosity pretty much fails to go beyond giving change and cigarettes to homeless dudes because I really don’t have anything else, but I do it all year round, or at least, when I got some to spare.
I give to charities that help Autistic people and a few that are looking for other cures.
By “end of year holiday season” are you referring to Christmas?
@ItsAHabit : Yes, that’s the time I mean. I asked this question in December, 2009.
