Is it possible to glue a deep cut with Krazy Glue?

Ok , to make a long story short my mother fell down and cut her hand on some glass. It is quite deep. After waiting 5 hours in a hospital to get stitches we simply said screw it and went home. My question is, can we glue the wound together with Krazy Glue? I know it is possible to glue a wound together, but can we do it ourselves? Thanks for your answers in advance!
