Do you think the terrorist should be tried in a Military Court?
I live in NYC . For many Years I worked less than three blocks from the Trade Center .To many in NYC 9/11 seems like yesterday.
9/11 was an act of War.
Holding the trial in NYC will cost the taxers payers. Home Land security recently cut our funding.
The traffic will prevent people from getting to work. The barbarians will turn the courtroom in a circus .
I have friends who barely escape .
Why aren’t these barbarians be tried in a Military Court?

This seems like a fake “soapbox” question. I doubt you would ever listen to anything that you aren’t in agreement with..

Because they do not want to acknowledge the alleged terrorists action as military actions.
To be acts of war, the aggression has to be of a military nature mandated by a sovereign nation.
Which was not the case. The alleged terrorists are all civilians, and thus should be appropriately tried in a civilian court.
Would a Mafia boss who bombed some shops be tried by the military? Hardly.
Now the question is whether there will be a fair trial. There will not, in my estimation. Nothing but a show trial.

Yes, I think military court is the appropriate venue.
Real barbarians are people who believe that people like Omar should not have the right to a fair trial. Obama ordered suspects like Omar (read SUSPECTS, not TERRORISTS) to a military trial even though at the time of the arrest, he was a child soldier and he has been tortured in Cuba detainning centre for 7 years without the rights to fair trial.
Barbarians do not recognize due process , they assume anyone who has been detained is a terrorist, like the author suggests on this topic. Real Barbarians believe that because they are Americans, they have the right to detaine anyone indefinately if they choose to and that they should never be allowed to walk free or touch American soil. President Obama and people like the authors continue to commit injustices against detainnees. It should be a crime.
All that needs to be done is to put them into the general population of a prison and not into protective custody. . . . . they will be eliminated pretty quickly.
I think although it may be inconvienent (I was born and raised in NYC) and maybe a little risky, but New York City should have the right to pass sentence on the fanatics who did so much damage. It will be help them regain some sense of control. New Yorkers took a large hit that day and should be able to make them pay in some way.
