What is Fluther's stance on having more than one account?
If anyone has a ruined reputation with any group of people on Fluther, can they just sign up a second account to try to start fresh with?
Or does Fluther not allow second accounts?
If Fluther does allow second accounts, what special rules do they have for them?

they are discouraged, but a few people have them to ask the more embarrassing questions.
A couple users have created new accounts (for lurve reasons, I believe, and also for embarrassing questions). A potential problem with having multiple accounts is GAing your own answers, but the mods are pretty good about that stuff.
[mod says:] You are allowed to have multiple accounts as long as you don’t use them to a) increase your lurve or game the lurve system in general and b) cheat the daily questions limit.
Read in the rules and it talks of it. Just as @jackm says they allow it but only under certain stipulations.
And you can not pass the account on to someone else. If it is your account you have to keep it.
I think it would be good to have one account with a known password (or some sort of implemented system) that we could all share to ask embarrassing questions. I know there are ways to abuse this, but maybe there’s some way to make it work. It would eliminate the need for double accounts in many cases.
Some people do have a second account, but if the additional account is used to circumvent the other use guidelines, it would probably be rejected.
@gggritso Askville has an “Ask Anonymously” feature for embarrassing questions. It would be cool if Fluther has this too, but apparently the site staff may have too many new features waiting in a queue to be implemented at this point.
I have a second account. Andrew does too.
I use it for embarrassing medical questions. They are cool as long you don’t game the lurve system.
@gggritso / @EgaoNoGenki We like to think of ourselves as a community, so an embarrasing question should be associated with a particular “person”, even if that person is an anonymous version of someone else on the site.
An “Ask Anonymously” would remove thta human element, as would the equivalent @gggritso suggestion =)
@grumpyfish Well, I like to think that I participate quite a bit in the Fluther community, and I appreciate the human element as much (if not more) than the average user. I do, however, think that an anonymous question feature will not disturb the community in the slightest. The human element is the same if it’s being asked by “Anonymous” or “Misc_Account_991”.
What about a person with more than 4 known Fluther accounts? Isn’t that not really what it’s about? An example would be innocent enough questions directed at a person (possibly) to keep them on their toes. The person I am referring to was turned into a neptune once already.
