How much does it annoy you when someone doesn't get your humor?

It doesn’t bother me much, as I don’t even get my own humour most times.

If it did, I probably wouldn’t be on this site.

If someone doesn’t get my humor, and it’s really a good joke, quip, or whatever (and not a reach too far, or offensive in a way I didn’t even think of, or confusing or obscure—as so much of my humor is, after all) ... then I don’t get annoyed; I might feel sorry because of the person’s obtuseness, but it doesn’t affect me.

That one person who “don’t get it” usually pushes the joke or remark over the top for everyone else!

It actually doesn’t annoy me, I take it as peer critique, then I try to mix it up a little.

My humor is not that subtle.

If someone doesn’t laugh, it’s because they don’t find me funny.

I’m used to it. And I have noticed a certain amount of humorlessness on Fluther lately. I’m used to that, too.

My humour is “ungettable” most of the time anyway.

I do have a strange (and I think wonderful) sense of humor, so lots of people don’t get my jokes. As a matter of fact, some people actually get annoyed with me.

You mean when people are so dense that light bends around them? I find it moderately annoying, primarily because when you bust a great line on someone and they are too stoo-pet to realize it, it takes the joy from it.

Well i do get annoyed but other times when they do laugh it makes the room bright up so its like chance i guess and if it doesnt work theres always another chance and if they look at you strangly then there the weird ones

Oh, but it just makes it funnier for me. When everyone else gets it and there is that one person who just stands there going DUHHHH!, its just makes it funnier.
Now if they just don’t get it and takes it the wrong way, then that annoys me.

Just turn to the person who doesn’t get it and tell it to them again RRRREEEAAAAALLLLL SSSSSLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW.

It only annoys me if it results in my getting modded or flamed.

Humor is no laughing matter; pretending not to get it constitutes egregious misbehavior.

I would think that perhaps my self-assessment of clever is flawed.

Not in the least. Why should it bother me. I simply catalogue it as, he/she doesn’t understand. Then, I don’t waste my efforts on that person. i direct my wit at those that have the intellect to appreciate my thoughts.

Personally, I find it that much funnier if someone doesn’t get it.

It doesn’t bother me at all. I just think they either have no sense of humor or they are just dumb. I’m not a particularly funny person…well not til about 10 minutes later when something clever I could have said pops into my head.

I don’t get annoyed about it; I have a weird sense of humor so people don’t always get it. Most of my family members have the same kind, though, so we have fun playing off each other.

I can’t fault them for it… sometimes I do travel to the beat of a different drummer. But, I do amuse myself, so that’s a good thing.

sometimes it doesnt bother me it just shows that some people just are not open minded as others.

I don’t get annoyed very easily. This isn’t something worth losing sleep over. How much it annoys me depends on my mood. If I’m having a bad day, I’m more likely to get annoyed. If I’m having a good day, I’d probably be in way too good of a mood to even let it bother me.

It doesn’t bother me at all because I crack myself up. I think I’m very funny sometimes
and make me laugh.
