Would You Buy A Prayer Cloth ?
On a Christian network; they were advertising a “Prayer Cloth” for just $24.99 plus $6.95 Shipping and Handling.
They will take a piece of cloth, write Your name on it and several of their preachers will pray over it ; then they will send it to you and you will have at least threee “Blessings”
Would You send them $31.50 for this “Prayer Cloth” or would you consider it a high priced “Gimmick” to get money ?

(assuming the power of prayer works)
How exactly is a piece of cloth intended to improve the power of prayer’s results? Does it grant more expedient results? Are the prayers’ results larger?
NO, what a scam, they should be arrested. but they wouldn’t sell it if people didn’t buy it…
but I would buy this
Would this be the Don Stewart Prayer Cloth ministry that you saw? The healing hankie?
@PandoraBoxx This was not a hankie ; but a “Prayer Cloth” ....
I’m considering going to the Dollar Store and buying some towels ... I’ll advertise that I will sprinkle Holy Water and Virgin Olive oil over them and write your name on it and Pray over it…
You get the entire towel for just $14.95 including s&H…. NOT just a piece of cloth… Think it might work ?
It’ll go great with my pet rock.
How big is it, and would it make a suitable drop cloth for painting?
If they’d consider doing that to a heavy duty 12’ x 16’ vinyl tarp with reinforced grommets and lowering the price to, say, $6, then we could talk. Could I have them put the boat’s name on the cloth instead?
@CyanoticWasp LOL ..GREAT idea ; BUT this thing appeard to be about eight inches or so square… couldn’t really tell adn they did not say… Don’t know about the boat’s name ; BUT if YOU are paying for it , why not ?
I wouldn’t buy one of those, but I have bought and hung Tibetan prayer flags back in my yippie college days.

I’ve seen that ad. Do you live in/near Philly or is it some kind of nationwide scam?
Oh heck no. That is just ridiculous. I got one of those “prayer cloths” in the mail once. It was paper…of course, there was also the “pitch” for money that they tried to guilt you into sending, and all the “testimonials” from all the people who received “blessings” AFTER they sent their “contributions”. That crap turns my stomach.
@lillycoyote This is a national and even international ad that runs for a certain “Christian” ministry…
I live in Central Florida…
@HighShaman I guess it is sort of an old school, wide spread kind of thing. There’s just this “church” in Philadelphia that has rather low budget, low production values commercials for “prayer hanker chiefs” and I always think of them when the subject comes up.
No, but it would be fun to get one for free. LOL
