Ha ha…

It looks to be iPhone users, not middle school students, arriving here by way of Apple’s web apps site, which featured Fluther.

Please keep in mind that we were all new users once and may have asked a few dumb questions just to get a feel for how the site works. Ultimately, this type of growth should be good for the collective. More users means more experts in more diverse topics which leads to faster and better answers. The new users just need some time to go through the ropes.

The correlation between quality and the influx of users is something that has been written about before: http://www.paulgraham.com/trolls.html

We’re modding away on the egregious ones, so please, hold steady! And flag!

Hi, yes, you have been invaded by iPhone owners. I’m one of them. This site looks pretty addictive though so please bear with us as new users : )

Welcome, n00bs! If everyone ask questions to which they really want a reasoned, thoughtful answer, we’re all winners!
