I need inspiration to lose weight & eat less?

hello all – well basically i am EXTREMELY fat! i am 176 cm and weigh 67 kilos and have a waist of 34’’, and even 34’’ pants barely fit me with lots of fat rolls sticking out. to top it all off, i eat like 200g of chocolates a day and at least 1 120g packet of chips. i have started working out cuz well to cut a long story short i have this huge crush on a girl and i want to ask her out and shes really nice to me she might even say yes now but i dont want someone that beautiful having to go out with a charity case like me. but i just cant do it. i am able to exercise [a little] but i offset this by eating even more. i just cant find the inspiration to do something about my eating habits. can someone help me out?

Start a food diary – just one day, no pressure, open up Microsoft Word and write down everything you eat – find calorie content on the Internet…start writing…(doesn’t matter if you skip some days)...after a couple of weeks, identify patterns and how MUCH you’re consuming…find a calorie counter online and plug in numbers (what you want to weight and in how long) and see where you need to cut your intake to…start very slowly changing little things in the diet and continue the diary..give yourself a day in the week where you don’t have to stay within the maximum…also add a big of exersize…just start walking 30 minutes each day fast…this all will help…it has helped me…good luck

@JessicaisinLove yes but that usually, for me, results in a negative reinforcement…as in I will then lose weight because I find myself disgusting…that’s not at all a healthy way to do it

Weight Watchers is a good plan but exclude the chemicals. Eat Whole foods, no chemicals no trans fats , no low fat, eat greens, fruits, lean natural chicken, wild fish,Vegetables and exercise. Eat nuts, seeds and small amounts of dark chocolate and snack on fruit and nuts .

Be careful, some girls like a man they can grab a chunk of, if you lose weight like crazy she might not like the change in you. If she is a good match for you it won’t be about what you look like anyway. Ask her out now, get it together, and when you know that your weight isn’t an issue, then you can start working on losing a few pounds for the health and self confidence reasons.
(And if you start dating her now, you’ll find that you’ll shed weight much faster, with a special kind of exercise not currently available to you)

If you’re a male then a month of breaking a sweat at least once a day and eating a good breakfast, good lunch and light dinner with TONS of water in between meals means you’ll drop pounds and noticeably change shape. I’m a female but I know a few guys who also do exercises naked in front of a long mirror. Make it where you can’t hide from yourself while you brush your teeth in the morning, or sleep naked so you look at yourself when you get up during the night. Every now and then, drop and do some pushups or put on a song or two that makes you want to dance like crack monkey. Once you see your shape start to change, you’ll get inspired for more.
you can’t eat food that you can’t afford: open a savings account of some sort where a portion of your usual food bill will get locked in before you have a chance to spend it on food. not only will you have lost weight by the end of all this, you’ll also be stinkin’ rich.
you can’t eat food that you don’t have: throw out / destroy as much junk food as you can in the next 20 minutes. don’t try to give it away to the homeless, don’t try to do anything but destroy it. you’ll just use these as excuses to keep eating until the day when you can. just get up right now.. hey.. you’re not even reading this are you? well done. okay, see you in 20.

Keep track of what you eat BUT I have heard that you need 1600 cals/ day and that I also heard that 400 (Remember this amount!!!) cals 4X day every 3 -5 hours will actually help you loose! The higher quality the fuller you feel, remember to consult your Doc!

Like Chaz’s idea of putting this post on your fridge! Also, get a photo of your prospective girlfriend and post her photo on your fridge! Also, put health articles on your fridge about heart problems etc., caused by weigh! oh, put a couple of extra mirrows in your home!

Put a mirror on the door of the fridge. Then inside the fridge, put a picture of The One You Adore.

lol thanks all – hahahah a mirror in the fridge might sound weird but i dunno lol extreme fitness must mean that i take extreme measures!
anyway the thing is my jean size is 34” but straight up measuring with a tape shows that i’m 37”! can’t say that i’m surprised though….
400 cals per meal? lol wow thats more like a snack than a meal but i’m desperate to try anything!
Snack on fruit and a handful of nuts . Fiber from fruit fills you up. Fruit is sweet. Buy mango’s,berries and Kiwis . Drink a lot of water to fill up.
You can also put of picture of how you currently look in a bathing suit and how you did look on the refrigerator. Find a picture of how you would like to look . Put them all on your refrigerator.
LIL I did this after I had my Son . In a month I was back in decent shape and the weight before him .
Wish I had a 37-inch waist.

and i really appreciate you guys at fluther cuz well before this i used to use yahoo answers and that was just full of evangelists who tried to convince me that i should just stay my current weight and live with it
If you really want inspiration and motivation to eat more healthfully and to get in better shape, just read up on Diabetes and all the complications from it. Then, you’ll have no trouble dropping the excess sugar from your diet and hitting the gym!
hi guys! thanks a lot for the help! just wanted to let you all know progress is being made! i have lost fat and am gaining muscle – am currently 176 cm and 64 kilos [3 kilos loss even though muscle mass has been gained]! and i must say i feel great! before i used to constantly feel hungry and have cravings for chocolate, chips and mcdonalds. these days eating nothing feels just as good! thanks a lot for the inspiration all – props to the dude who mentioned the brad pitt pic and looking at yourself naked! very difficult to do but quite ‘inspiring’ if i may say!
