@MagsRags Me too.
To think my life has come to this
Plenty of different things, however I do make sure that they’re all nothing constructive.
hang out, movies, internet, youtube, fluther, blogging, biking, driving, sleeping! eating, reading..?., dreaming, having fun, being bored.
Cook, knit, genealogy, work, museums when I can, go to movies, fret about why I’m not cleaning my house.
well i do a few things, run around after kids at the park or i go all over the internet looking up things that get my eye. other times when im alone and nothing to do i like to go shopping till i can’t walk no more :)
I work on open source software. And do a shitty job coding stuff I write from scratch.
Write, take care of my dog and lately I’ve been Fluthering like mad crazy.
I read lots of news websites, op-eds and blogs. I read real paper books too from time to time. Haven’t completely escaped the dead tree world yet. I study programming. Just launching into JavaScript. I like to tinker and fix old things. My wife loves Goodwill Hunting, so our two passions mesh well in that area.
And of course, there’s the obvious. I blow way too much time rattling on and reading others who do the same here.
Fold napkins; don’t judge. I also play percussion, make lists, try to write with my non-dominant hand, and make this sentence sound better.
“Fold napkins; don’t judge.”
Laughs. That was great.
90% of my time is “free time.” I don’t do anything special. It kind of sucks actually.
I’m going to Disneyland tomorrow!
Officially, most of my time is “free time” because I am retired from the real world of work. However, I keep busy taking care of my husband, who has numerous health issues, my son, who has numerous mental health issues, my daughter, who is a teenager, my assorted animals, and my online book business.
In my real free time I read, I garden, I knit, I read, I cook, I sew, I read, I act, I clean stuff, and I read.
And I Fluther.
Spend way too much time online! I rotate among my email, Facebook, Fluther, Fug, Evil Beet, twitter, and occasionally The Big Picture.
Seriously – I need to have my computer taken away from me. B/c when I don’t allow myself to f*#% around on it, I’ll actually do productive things like make jewelry, practice (flute), and clean the frickin apartment. Today I forced myself to get out of the house TWICE: once to go on a long beach walk and another to buy Christmas cards for my co-workers.
I had free time once. Didn’t much care for it.
Now I have time that I am not doing too much else. I love to multi-task.
If I am not doing multiple things at once, I get depressed because I have time to think.
Lately I’ve become somewhat addicted to a certain web site. It’s lurvely.
