How do we find out what the "Atlantis awards" are for?

I’ve never been one to care about these things, but I have a need to know how or why with pretty much anything.

You earn them or bribe the mods..
This question comes up periodically, and we’re not supposed to tell you out in the open where the fun will be spoiled for everyone. I will say that one of mine I went and got intentionally, because someone answered one of these types of questions. The other two I don’t even know how I got, though I have some ideas.
You need to figure them out for yourself. Anyone who does know should PM you, because they’ll get modded on here.
Atlantis Award? What’s that?
At the risk of actually being helpful instead of snarky, tribal, and insular: PM means private message.
I do dig the word snarky.
Well if someone knows what the cake and firzzer award is for I’d love to know. Potato Masher me with the info…
Well, let’s see if this gets modded: I think the Perfecto-fish and the Feeding frenzy have something to do with answering a question under a certain set of rather unlikely conditions involving the number of answers, number of observers, speed of answering, etc.
I went to Atlantis to find out and they told me these are a fake. There is no such thing as an Atlantis award, and even if there were, it wouldn’t be given out at fluther!
@daloon And where was this “Atlantis”?
@erichw1504 – Currently it is in the Bahamas on the aptly named Paradise Island.
It’s lovely. I’ve been there, too.
Thank you, everyone. :)
All these answers are making my head spin! GA’s all around. Perhaps, if someone was so inclined, they could potato mash me at their convenience.
When I read this question, it reminded me of this.

I would love to know what they’re for. I have Feeding Frenzy and Pilgrim. I wondered if Pilgrim had to do with migrating from another site or something. Feeding frenzy – I dunno. I answer a lot of questions sometimes, so I suspect it might be that.
@downtide You have the Pilgrim award and don’t know how you got it? It’s hard for me to even imagine the circumstances that could have led to that.
I’m a two-time Perfecto-Fish winner and haven’t the slightest idea why.
@Darwin Ahh, very nice. I’ll have to check it out some time.
I’m a three-time Feeding Frenzy and three-time Perfecto-Fish and a Pilgrim. Pretty sure I know how I got Pilgrim, but the others I have no clue.
I’ve got all three and I know precidely how I got them. But I’m not telling. Nanny, nanny boo boo.
@Darwin Aw, come on! Not even a hint? Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone… ;)
Not even waterboarding will break me.
I have a pretty good idea of what Feeding Frenzy is, I got one today.
I know how to get the Cake in the Frizzer award.
I have all three and the only one I know how I earned is the Perfecto Fish.
I just earned the Perfecto-Fish award, but I don’t get to find out what MY OWN award is for.
Please PM me. Thanks.
Perfecto Fish is easy to figure out. Perhaps the easiest of all the secret awards. You get it immediately after doing something.
I have 5 of the 6 Atlantis awards, however I cannot achieve the last. I know what it is though and how people got it, but since you can’t get it either its not worth mentioning.
@avvooooooo—huh, “I cannot achieve the last. I know what it is though and how people got it, but since you can’t get it either its not worth mentioning.” Why wouldn’t someone be capable of acheiving an award?
@Taciturnu “Old Timer” is unachievable. At least the way it is now.
Private criteria suck.
I don’t like being assessed (which is what happens when one is given an award) when I don’t know what I’m being assessed on. It’s just not fair.
^ I wholeheartedly agree with @the100thmonkey. I understand why the whole thing is set up that way. Hype and all, but @the100thmonkey makes a very valid point.
Old thread is old, but does anyone want to PM me and tell me how I managed to achieve the feeding frenzy award without being aware of doing anything out of the ordinary?
hmm, I accidentally presssed answer button, and it won’t let me delete!
