Yea, there should be an option to flag questions as homework, there sure has been plenty of them.
I think you forgot a comma within the quote.
There’s a difference between “Nothing is drag kid” and “nothing is drag, kid.”
Go look up the word drag in a dictionary.
Not that I’d give you more homework help beyond what I just said, but it’s REALLY helpful if you would, you know, give us the context.
Furthermore, “I need it by today” is stupidly vague as well. What time today? Is 11:59:59 PM acceptable? Or do you need it by 2pm? Do you need it 5 hours ago? “Today” has many possibilities.
this quote is from a book freak the mighty
Whoever said that has a good attitude ;)
Does the phrase “It’s a drag” mean anything to you? If so, you should be able to figure out the rest from the context of the quote. If not, think about the meanings of the word “drag.”
@Sarcasm ”
“Today” has many possibilities.
… not to mention, “time zones”.
I think I could like whoever said it.
Ok, @helpplz, you’re new (welcome), so I’ll explain:
1. In general the people on this site have an aversion to doing other people’s homework for them. Many of us believe that students should do their own learning.
2. @janbb gave you the right answer. Perhaps you should look at the line that comes right before it, for starters.
3. @Sarcasm‘s points, though perhaps not gently put, are apt.
4. Your teacher is interested in what it means to you and not to a bunch of random folks online.
Sorry, but that might be all you’re going to get here.
P.S. The words in red and underlined are links.
It means “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff… and It’s All Small Stuff…”
Here’s the context:
Freak the Mighty
The quote comes from the last page. And In context the quote means nearly the opposite of how I’d have interpreted it standing alone. It’s not about small stuff.
This book, published by Scholastic, is intended for grades 6 to 9 reading level. I don’t think anything in it is meant to stump someone like our OP.
@Jeruba LOL and hats off for a link to “Red”. That makes it a GA.
