I had a night of drinking. Has this ever happened to you?
I threw up blood. I drank a couple beers throughout the night and a bottle of wine after I smoked a joint. I felt fine the next day. I am thinking I threw up because I drank too much and there was too much pressure on my esophagus. I threw up quite a bit of blood, but it was not thick at all. I had not eaten any foods that were red and did not consume any red drinks.
Should I go see a doctor for this? Or, is this something I can shake off because I feel fine now and it was just from the alcohol? I do not have any conditions like ulcers that I know of.

Yikes! Anytime you puke blood, you should probably see a doctor.
um, i’d say go to a doctor, because we’re not doctors. how often do you drink/smoke heavily?
I do not drink often, but when I do I tend to binge drink with at least 5+ drinks. Twice a week at the most
My 2 cents: Stop binge drinking. Drink in moderation. If you can’t, then you need to stop altogether.
Okay, now this is very strange. This is exactly what happened to me today. I’m concerned and giving up the booze for a while.

go see a doctor, puking or shitting blood is never, ever a good thing.
Wow! I’ve had, well, I won’t say how many, but more than a few nights of excessive drinking, pot smoking and throwing up, among other things, over the course of my life. Those days are, thankfully, long over, but I never, ever threw up blood. Are you sure it was blood? Anyway, if you are really throwing up blood then you need to see a doctor and the sooner, the better.

“I do not drink often” “Twice a week at the most”
Kind of seems conflicting. Is 3 times per week where we call binge drinking “often”?
Binge drinking twice a week is a lot. And although this almost seems like a joke, see a damn doctor at once.
WTF?! Why are you even still sitting at your computer posting on Fluther? Go to a hospital. I’ve had my fair share of alcohol but I have never puked blood!
From a website that is also not a doctor.
“Vomiting of blood is called “hematemesis”. Vomiting blood is a medical emergency. Seek professional emergency medical advice immediately. There are various causes of vomiting blood, and many are very serious.”
Not trying to scare you, but a doctor, rather than Fluther, seems to be who you should be consulting.
Drinking, even heavy drinking, would not normally cause you to puke blood unless there’s something else very wrong. You need to be in hospital NOW.

I’ll be lucky if I’m not drunk three consecutive nights in a row.
But I never threw up blood.
I did once when forcing burps after drinking a slurpee, but that wasn’t booze. I suggest the opinion of a doctor.
Whether you puke blood or drink too much, thanks.
