Do you have a hobby for whatever reason you really don’t want anyone to know about?? Like your thumbtacks from around the world collection? I like to draw now as a new hobby but I don’t want my boss to know that is all I do at work all day.

Yes. But if I told you I’d have to kill you.
Now Cruiser if I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret anymore.
Loll..great answers! cannot add to that!
all of my stuff is out the open…what you see is what you get!
@Cotton101 That’s not what I heard. I know about your little secret. lol
I still play the occasional videogame every now and then, I don’t know why but I always feel guilty about it, knowing my time could be spend better.
@pearls loll..how are you my friend?
I can sew and like putting patches on things. Um, that’s not really that embarrassing though.
Um, is masturbation a hobby? haha :P
@pearls c’mon pearls, just whisper in my ear I promise I won’t tell anyone!
I play the kazoo like a rock star…don’t tell anyone.
@Cotton101 Been doing very well dear friend. Looking forward to Christmas and the grandbabies.
@Cruiser Once I get to know you a little bit better, I might just do that.
yes but if I told you it wouldn’t be a secret.
Actually it’s not much of a secret anyway. I play Second Life, and I’ve been active there for over 3 years. I love it. But I don’t tell people who aren’t geeks, they wouldn’t understand.
Hell yeah!! Doesn’t everybody!!?? :-/
I used to have a few secret hobbies, back in high school. That’s mainly because my school was so small that one little thing could permanently label you with an unwanted reputation that would never go away (My graduating class was about 95 kids).
Now I’m much more open about my more “embarrassing” hobbies, like playing Pokemon or drawing certain silly things. Heck, I’m an art student—I’m supposed to be quirky!
Yes. I’m a bunny for heaven’s sake! OOPS!
@ParaParaYukiko Thanks Para! One question though why is it that all artists are quirky??
It’s all good for others to my “secret hobby” because nobody knows me, just my screen name. I love to dance around the house while no one is home, and I am learning ballroom dancing but it is a hidden hobby.
No, but thinking about starting an aluminum foil ball.
Spider solitaire. That might be classified as an addiction, though. An addiction that I enjoy very much D:
@pdworkin – Exactly. Otherwise it would not be a secret.
Devoiding the validity of the question.
Okay fine….I knew this day would come. I knit sweaters using dryer lint.
You said you got that lint from your belly button.
I want my money back!
Hm…
Well, everyone knows I write fantasy stories from time to time. What everyone doesn’t know is that there are certain scenes in my stories that only I get to read. Yeah, I enjoy writing erotica occasionally.
@SirGoofy Cool! All you need is a flint and you could start bonfires any time you needed to!
@Seek_Kolinahr <<Flag on the field!!>> Can’t go flaunting erotica without sharing!
I’m addicted to Cafe World and Farmville on Facebook! As my son says, I need a life!! :)
I’m addicted to Fluther but no one would understand this so I didn’t say to anybody.
@Cruiser
Ha ha ha
This is the only one I’ve felt comfortable putting in publicly-accessible format so far. It’s just a tiny scene from a much larger story, that is still very much in the works.
You’ll have to forgive the horrendous lack of formatting… I haven’t quite figured all that blogging stuff out yet.
Anyway, it’s two of my favourite D&D characters. The guy, Austeth, I’ve been using on and off for over ten years now. ((sigh)) I so love that character – no matter how out of character he is in this little scene
@Seek_Kolinahr You are a naughty girl!! Very imaginative and downright naughty! ;)
curtseys
Why, thank you. ^_^
@Cruiser Good question about the quirky artists! Well, if you think about it, being an art student means you have rejected taking the “beaten path” but choosing to go to school for a more practical career. Just that makes them unorthodox people. Artists are also inclined (and taught) to see the world in a slightly different way than others (Taking my first drawing class in college was quite an experience! I basically had to re-learn how to draw), which is their way of finding art in the everyday world. To “normal” people, that just makes us seem a little off! Not that I mind. :D
@ParaParaYukiko Thank you for your insight! Artists I find see things others may not see and are able to interpret the world around them in a different light. My brother is a formally trained glass artist, so is my father and I personally know of another gifted artist and all of them you wouldn’t know their talent until you either saw their work of made mention of it. Nothing outwardly quirky about them other than their ability to see, feel and communicate things in forms other than words.
Actually, I do have one. I love to give Photoshop makeovers. I’ve only done it a few times and mostly to pictures of myself, but according to my boyfriend the artist who has seen my “work”, I’m pretty good at it. It’s just for fun, though, I’m not saying people are ugly. :\
I can’t think of any more secret hobbies of mine. I do like to create my own language. It’s not something I just tell anyone.
@DominicX Well then post a pic or two so we can see your handiwork!
@DominicX That’s not weird at all. Professional digial photographers do that all time. My dad is one of them; he always touches up his photos by whitening teeth, brightening eyes, evening out skin tone, removing a few blemishes… but the important thing is to make it look like you didn’t do anything, that the subject naturally looks that good! It’s an interesting and delicate art form all in itself.
