Can you relive the effects of drugs well after taking them?

Asked by Hearts (6points) December 22nd, 2009

I did ecstasy once in my life and it was a great experience. Then about a month later I was thinking about that E trip again, how it felt, what we did and all, and I could almost feel it. Then I looked in the mirror and concentrated more on the feeling and my pupils dilated as big as when I was on E. So is it possible that once you do some drug you can get the feeling back ( maybe not as strong but kind of ) ? Its all in the brain right so I guess its possible if you practice ? Do you have any similar experiences ? Thanks for sharing :)

Stratman37 : Yeah but I mean it was controlled you now?

Stratman37 : Yeah, when Ill get better at it, maybe I could start a career in teaching this. :P

Yes, you keep having trips back to that day. Since the drugs are still flowing through your bloodstream.

I have a vague general impression of what it was like on some sedatives, but no really detailed memories.

@Tink1113 Very unlikely if not impossible.

No idea in rgeards to E, but I have LSD flashbacks occasionally, they’re entirely uncontrollable and spontaneous though.

Excstacy basically works by getting you to dump all your seratonin at once which creates a euphoric effect. It also inhibits the reabsorbtion of the drug back into the system, which enhances the effect. The E makes your body work differently, but the “drug” that makes you euphoric is seratonin, which is naturally in your body, and is also released during orgasm ;) I’m not one to recommend against experimenting, but the first roll is by far the best and there’s other ways to feel that way.

Ask some of the folks in this thread, I think a few of them might have been having flashbacks…

Greencarp : Okay so maybe Ive been able to stimulate that seratonin with only my thoughts haha.

Depends. Sometimes there are antidotes.

I’ve noticed that if I take a drug in a dream that I have taken in waking life, I experience the same effects in the dream.
