Are there any songs that you are connected with?
Like songs that you listened to at a certain point in your life, and now everytime you hear that song now it emotionally
moves you in some way or
reminds you of that certain
time in your life?
What song is it?
How does it make you feel?

Yes, there is a few. Amazing Grace, How great thou art, What a friend we have in Jesus, etc.
This one always stirs up my memories of my childhood. When I was 9 years-old, a stray dog came into our yard——a border collie mix——he was starving, cold, and very frightened. I loved animals, so I pleaded with my parents to keep him. I nursed the dog back to health, and he became my best friend for life. He lived with me for about 8 years, well into old age. At about the same time, I used to hear this song on the radio and on a record my brothers purchased, and I loved it. Hearing it now, I am brought back to those memories when I was a kid and to my endearing friendship with my pal “Rudy”, the stray dog. I miss Rudy, and everytime I hear this song, I can’t help but “tear up” a bit.

Most of the earlier Beatles’ songs are very important to me. They represent the happiness and excitement of my teen years… and will always be a big part of who I am.
Semi-charmed life by 3eb takes me back to hs, also some stp, soundgarden, oasis, colective soul, vertical horizon, my memories, every single memory has a particular song attached to it
Diamond On A Landmine by Billy Talent back when this girl had my heart on a string.
“Forever, forever
I’ll walk a thousand miles
Just to tell her, to tell her
Our love is still alive
And I’ll never, I’ll never
I’ll never let it die
Well you’d better watch your step
She’s a diamond on a landmine”
Day And Night by Cudi is a song I really connect with. The song talks about a lonely loner who frees his mind at night, and I am exactly the same. I am alone almost always, and I always think well at nigh, every time I hear it I cant help but thinking how accurate it is.
Green Onions by Booker T. and The MGs. i love the beat of this song. it was recorded in Memphis, Tn. did you know that The MGs stands for Memphis Group? the beat of this song started a recording revolution in the recording industry. it was a solid beat that dancers could associate with. if you have not or are not familiar with this song, go to Youtube and listen for yourself. be prepared to sling your pc chair back and hit the dance floor. john
Levon by Elton John and Midnight Rider by The Allman Brothers, those songs remind me of my Granfather.
In The Fade
Cracks in a ceiling
Crooked pictures in the hall
Countin and breathin
I’m leaving here tomorrow
They don’t know
I’d never do you any good
Laughin is easy
I would if I could
Ain’t gonna worry
Just live till you die, wanna drown
With nowhere to fall
Into the arms of someone
There’s nothing to save and I know
You live till you die
Live till you die, I know
Loosing a feelin that
I couldn’t give away
Countin and breathin
Disappearin in the fade
They don’t know
I’d never do you any good
Stoppin and stayin
I would if I could
Ain’t gonna worry
Just live till you die, wanna drown
With nowhere to fall
Into the arms of someone
There’s nothing to save I know
You live till you die
Live till you die, I know
Bob Dylan’s Tangled Up In Blue
The Beatles’ Yesterday
John Lennon’s Jealous Guy
Dire Straits’ Romeo and Juliet
All basically songs about a guy crippled from love.
Plenty of songs do this to me. Plenty. Some remind me of good times, most remind me of bad times, but they all remind me of some specific part of my life if I happened to hear it at least more than thrice.
“Can I play with Madness” by Iron Maiden reminds me of foolin’ around with a high school girlfriend. :)
