So MW2 was patched to stop offensive content , if you didn't want to see it but the whole games content is offensive right ?
ok so MW2 got patched to stop offensive content , if you want to select it it stops the no Russian level . Only thing is its only offensive to kill people in an airport but not the LOADS of other you kill during the game ????
Strange that eh ?
This game is about war and death , if you found no Russian offensive you will find the whole game . So why buy it in the first place ?????
Ok kids was playing it and mothers thought to complain how bad it was , letting their kids kill all those people in the airport the game is 18 rated for christ sake . So it’s ok to let them play the other levels and spend countless hours online KILLING , but that one level is wrong for them to play ? Get a life

Was there a question in there?
The people you kill in the airport are innocent pedestrians. That’s why some people find it offensive.
It’s not as though they’ve permanently removed the content. You have a choice, after all, so there’s nothing to be angry about.
Do you think anyone has actually skipped that level? I doubt it
A brilliant game. Game being the operative word.
I could see how this part is offensive considering every other instance of the game the people you are killing are militant people. The airport is a bunch of civilians, who are unarmed and running for their lives. Sorry if I spoiled it I myself don’t even fire during that level until I’m fired upon and I know it’s just a game, but I kind of feel bad, lol.
I know it’s a game and the ESRB is off it’s rocker at times, but I do see how it could be offensive to some people. I myself am off put by the level, but I’m still playing it. I’m doing my current run on veteran.
This begs the question of why people seem to be drawn to stuff that offends them in the first place. Normally I am not into that type of game, but thanks to all the hoopla I am kind of curious about it now.
Of course, the controversy could be an intentional marketing ploy, but I think that if people are truly outraged they would be better served by keeping their traps shut and not giving it more advertising and popularity.
@jerv It’s a bit like a car crash isn’t it? Sometimes you’re disgusted, but you can’t get yourself to turn away from it.
@jerv never been to a demo derby? It can be entertaining.
@Axemusica Yes, but I didn’t pay to get in (I was “pit crew”). The cleanup was also fun to watch. Instead of flatbed tow trucks, they used a logging truck with a claw :D
I think that scene that was suppose to be over the top and has the warning really isnt that bad compared to the rest of the game. Its one scene of taking people out in the airport yet the rest of the game im killing arabs and Brazilians with no warning…and i was brutal with my kills >=].
If you don’t want to be exposed to this allegedly “offensive” game, don’t buy it. Problem solved.
If the problem was it was a Russian killing those people , i dont know if they are American in the airport or what . My thing is would it have had the same problem if it was American’s doing the killing of Russians , i don’t think it would have made much stink it if was the other way round from the release .
I think people would have preffered it to be American’s killing those people , cause then it wouldn’t be such a problem . ( supliment American’s with any nationality )
@sandystrachan It was Makarov (russians) killing russians and killing Private Allen at the end (because he knew he was an Americian) to get russia to cry war at America. That’s why it’s called “No Russian!” To let them think it was Americans were doing the killing. Geeez don’t you pay attention to key points of a story? :P
