How do you clean wax off of a Wacom?

Asked by Iclamae (2414points) December 28th, 2009

I got a Wacom tablet for Christmas and I left it on the table. Hard wax from a candle box landed on it and it got brushed off. But in brushing it off, it smeared some on the surface. I tried using a lightly wet (with water) paper towel but being water and wax, it didn’t work. Any ideas?

I’d try a blow dryer or goo gone.

Freezing wax either with an ice cube or in the freezer usually helps it come off.

Thanks guys, I was afraid of putting anything liquidy on it so I ended up just slowly rubbing it away with my fingers (was going with the body heat and finger oils angle). It wasn’t a lot of wax, just smears and it doesn’t seem to have affected the tablet’s ability to recognize my pen or anything.

But thank you again!
