Generally you can take them to your local comic store.
How much they’re worth, if anything, is dependent on many things, including the condition of the comic, how rare it might be, if anybody actually wants it or not.
You can try perusing the Comics Price Guide.com to get a general feel of things. You need to register, but it says it’s free to do so.
Comics are generally only worth something if they’re a special issue (like death of Superman or something), or first issues. Also, they need to be kept in RIDICULOUSLY pristine condition (like, still in the original packaging/never read).
The exception that will regain them some value, is if they’re very old (like 40–50+ years). Not helping matters is that comic book values have gone down a lot in the last decade (kind of a dying “art” if you will). Frankly, you probably won’t get crap for them, and would be better off holding onto them (for hopes they may gain value in the future), or giving them (or selling them) to someone who cares about them more.
But honestly, I wouldn’t expect to “cash in” that much on them.
You should also keep in mind that almost no one will give you price guide value for your comic books. You’ll be lucky to get a quarter each at the comic shop unless you have something really special, in which case you might get a few bucks.
I have tons of comics I’d love to sell, but I know I’ll never get enough to make it worth the effort to dig them out of the closet, organize them, lug them out to the comic shop, etc. So I just keep them because I can’t bear to throw them away…
Well if you DO end up selling them, most definitely don’t go to a comic shop. They aren’t going to give you dick, cuz then they won’t be able to profit from it. Sell on EBAY or something else online. (Again that’s assuming you have a comic that someone will want to buy).... In fact E-bay is probably a good place to check for your comic. If you find it there for sale at an amount you want and it’s actually got bids, then you’re in business (but don’t get your hopes up too much).
thanx, these all are very good answers
