Why do human beings have to go for Pee often when they sit under air conditioners?

What is biological reason behind that?

I would like to see the research you conducted here…

Because sometimes when you sit under an air conditioner you get a little chilled and nothing warms you up like a warm glass of pee.

@Sarcasm It would seem that if a person did enough research then they wouldn’t have a question to ask as they would probably have deduced the answer for themselves, don’t you think?

I think the OP is probably not a scientist and is asking a reasonable question that an intelligent person might be able to answer or at least nice enough to offer some insight into. Do you have any ideas?

@Bilbo123 I am not as knowledgeable as my learned counterparts who have previously answered but I would hazard a guess that the cold air causes one to “tighten up“and that in turn causes the inner muscles to put pressure on the internal organs, possibly causing pressure on such things as the bladder, which makes you feel like you have to pee more urgently.

But I’m an idiot compared to others here.

@Fluthermucker No. The question that research would answer is ”do humans need to pee more if they stand under ACs?”. Not ”why do…”.

You’re right, the OP is probably not a scientist. But using a question word like why generally means that you have some evidence, at least anecdotal, and are trying to understand it.
If I ask “Why is the sun so bright?” it means I have stared at it, or otherwise observed the brightness of it, and am wondering what causes the brightness.

And no, I don’t have any ideas to help answer his question, because I personally haven’t ever heard of such a thing. Which, y’know, explains why I’m asking for his research.

@Sarcasm – I too have not heard of this phenomenon. Running water however… that definitely makes me want to pee.

This is SPAM because it is not true. :)

I have never noticed this.

I don’t have to pee as often in the summer, but I am guess that is something to do with staying hydrated by using more fluids which results in less urine. Just a guess, though and no idea if it is related to the question.
