My cousin is thinking about the name Cullen for their boy and we need a suggestion for a middle name. What do you think?

Phew, glad it’s being used as an Irish name, not as a Twilight name. I almost canceled my fluther account.
Are there any family names? I’ve always been a fan of putting grandparents’ names as middle names.
It’s nothing fancy, but I kind of like Henry. I think Cullen Henry McEachen has a good ring to it.
Michael
Bryce
Daniel
Brody
Donal (Cullen Donal- Handsom, strong warrior :))
Malcolm
Angus
Stuart
Gavin
James
David
Patrick
Myles
Ellis
Rufus.
James my son is James But it does sound nice together.
Something with a single syllable. How about… Kyle?
More Irish names!
Conor
Sean
Bryan
Eoin
Patrick
etc
I think Edward Cullen and the Twilight movies have scarred enough people already. However, if their mind is set on that particular name, might I suggest Riker? It’s a Dutch variant of the name Richard.
Callum or Connor are both beautiful names, and I love Henry too,
hugs xx
This has nothing to do with Twilight. It’s a family name (that goes way back). I repeat, this has nothing to do with Twilight.
Aiden?
David?
My older son’s name is Colin and I gave him and my younger son my maiden name as a middle name.
Yeah, um, that kid is going to have to deal with Twilight questions for the rest (or at least the significant first portion) of his life. And possibly a good deal of teasing. I would suggest moving Cullen to the middle and coming up with something less… popular for a first name.
It’s nice to use a solid family name, but you don’t get to do it in a vacuum. People these days hear “Cullen” and think Twilight. And they probably will for a while. Tragic fact.
Having said that, here are some names I think would go nicely in front of it:
Sean
Thomas (or Tomas)
Bryce
Peter
@EmpressPixie yes but Twilight is crap – that would be a terrible reason to not use a name they like. and besides there are many people who don’t know what twilight is – and it’d be good for the kid to spend more time with those anyway.
@EmpressPixie: Let us hope the Twilight phenomenon fades away before he reaches the age when others might tease him.
As for an Irish (middle) name, I always thought Eamon was cool. It’s the Irish (and better) form of Edmund.
@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities and @bunnygrl have good ones, too. Really, anything that’s two syllables is my suggestion. It sounds better to me with two syllables. I feel like a single syllable ruins the flow of the name, I mean, if you’re concerned about that.
@EmpressPixie you know what’s sad about that? They want to name him after one of my cousins. This has nothing to do with Twilight atall. What a shame.
God, I hate Twilight.
I would go with another Irish or Scottish name. Just definitely not Edward.
@EmpressPixie I don’t think the kid will have to cope with Twilight jokes. By the time he’s old enough to go to kindergarten, Twilight will be forgotten in favour of the next new fad.
Funny, when I posted this question, I hadn’t even heard of the name Edward Cullen. I know of Twilight, but, I didn’t know the fellows name who stared in the movie.
Anyhow, I agree with the others, I’m thinking that the Twilight jokes will pass. Cullen it’s going to be.
@jmah, the star himself is named Robert Pattinson (Robert is a good name, if you’re looking for that “Robert the Bruce, Scottish warrior against the bloedy Sassenachs” vibe, BTW), but the character’s name is Edward Cullen.
Ha! Ah, okay. Obviously, I am not a fan. Nor do I read the trashy mags.
Bryce.
Cullen Bryce McEachen.
I’m thinking of naming my future son Cullen also. :o) I was thinking James, but it being spelled Jaymes. However I found another middle name, so Jamyes is up for grabs. I would use an Unusual spelled middle name to make his WHOLE name POP! I hope I have helped.
Jamyes might be promounced jammies
