Death. oh and the fact that both of my kids definitely came out of my vagina – you can be certain of that.
I can be certain of what I do in the present. But not what I did in the past or will do in the future.
So I don’t think that anything will always be certain for all time.
I only know that I exist. In everything else I just have faith.
im certain that ive been drinking for over 12 hours.
@rangerr I’m pretty certain that that’s not so great for your liver.
That I have a splitting headache…
We are 100% certain to die. Some of us get to pick the time and place.
I’m certain of all that exists, all that will exist, and all that will never exist.
I guess that answer isn’t helpful, I’m not human.
I know that my hand is attatched to my arm.
Oh! Oh god! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
As they say… death and taxes. And to that I can add, I know it’s the first day of a New Year and that I’m feeling happy and hopeful for the coming year.
Absolutely. That information is on a need to know basis.
If you know that you don’t know anything for certain, then that in itself is knowing something for certain. strokes beard
@Sarcasm: And then you realize that by knowing something for certain, your first premise (that you don’t know anything for certain) is invalid, so you really don’t know anything at all! :D
You can be certain of that.
Ultimately, no. As humans, we can’t discern the nature of reality with a high level of certainty. Without being able to do that, there is nothing that is not potentially deceiving to our perceptions, not even our memories.
“we can’t discern the nature of reality with a high level of certainty.”
I can. I just might not be able to explain it coherently to someone else.
And, since when is my certainty something I need to convey to others? :-)
@ChazMaz, No, you can’t. You cannot prove the nature of reality any more than anyone else, no matter how you may choose to fool yourself. Conveyance aside. :-)
What you are saying is that you can, but you just cannot communicate it. That’s extremely lame.
“What you are saying is that you can, but you just cannot communicate it. That’s extremely lame.”
Lame to you. Because you want what I have. Otherwise it would not matter to you.
Sorry if what I have I can’t give to you. You will have to get it on your own. :-)
But, you get a GA for an honest answer. :-)
