Nothing in excess, do you agree?

Asked by gretchenpadams (167points) January 1st, 2010

I live my life, (or attempt to) by this idea. To give nothing excessive worry, desire, consumption, entertainment, attention, etc. So far it is rewarding..it truly applies to nearly all aspects of life. Where doesn’t it? What are your thoughts on this simple reminder for day to day living?

I think it’s reasonable. Most often, excess is presented with nothing to conclude to anyways.
I mean you can stress all you want over late bills during the night, but you can’t do anything about it until business hours, so might as well get some good sleep in the meanwhile, so to speak.

Sex and lovemaking perhaps, all else, in moderation. Lol.

@Symbeline yes, yes completely. and with reference to your home, the materials in it, the materials that surround you when you go to bed, i always think i can function with a little less, that it’s all just a bit too much.

@MRSHINYSHOES you found the missing link. thank you haha
