I just watched it and was actually impresses….the over all story line was good! Does it bother you it had a fictional based plot? Was it a remake of an old movie? I heard it was…Did you see the original and was it any good, comparable?

No Tarantino just changed the title. It has nothing to do with the 1978 film
as for the 2009 movie….meh.
This follows on from my previous question & was actually the reason why I asked it.I watched it the other night. As with all Tarantino movies enjoyed it thoroughly. One scene in particular got my attention. When Hitler was shot to shit . This clearly did not actually happen. Thought he might survive the basterds wrath if only for the sake of history. Whatever still a rollickin good flick.
@Mike_Hunt I did not realize the plots were so different but right you are…thanks for the input!
@ucme Yeah I do like Tarantino films they are so edgy I guess you could say…I like the dude with the knife he was crazy killin some Nazi scum ha ha!
Terrific movie. Suspenseful moments lasting 20 minutes. Perfection.
And incredibly funny, especially when Brad Pitt has to speak italian.
@filmfann yeah his Italina was great..I laughed so hard at that
I loved it. The dialog, the acting, the action, great stuff.
It was great, incredibly entertaining. Though I remember some older people leaving the cinema when I saw it. It was quite funny really because I could tell originally they were unhappy with the violence of the “Bear Jew” and then when it cut to the 3 or 4 second flash of the film producer and his wife having sex they just shot up from their seats and left. I was quite puzzled. And further entertained
I laughed my ass off. Inglourious Basterds just may be the funniest movie Brad Pitt’s ever been in. Stiglitz was hilarious. Now… you’re probably gonna wanna take off that Nazi uniform when you get home, aren’t you? Well… I can’t abide that. Freakin’ priceless. Seriously, I haven’t seen the original since it first came out, but I’ll have to watch it again for a comparison.
@Rufus_T_Firefly the older movie by the same name shares only the name they are not related….I can abide by that he he!
Yeah, I know, As I said above, I saw the original when it first came out. Still, after all these years, I’m curious about exactly where one departs from the other.
