I just got a PS3, what are some good games for it?

Little big planet. (barely played anytiing else for a year)
arkham asylum
medal of honour
star wars: the force unleashed

It’s not a first person shooter, but Drake’s Fortune is pretty good. I haven’t tried the second one yet.

From a genre not in your list: PixelJunk Shooter is fun, but really short.

Killlzone 2 is probably the best PS3 only FPS. It is insane how great that game is. As for other FPSs Modern warfare 2 is a must. Not sure about WW2 tho.

Assassins creed two is also a must get. If you liked the idea of the first one but didnt like the gameplay you’ll love this one.

And of course Little big planet. The game pays for itself with the amount of DLC available.

I’ve heard a lot about Little Big Planet, what is the game like?

It’s actually a platform game. But it’s very absorbing and has a huge online community creating new levels every day. It’s possibly the best never ending game out there.

Metal Gear Solid 4.
I would never play an FPS on a console.

@LeotCol i second that, it is great. Also, COD: world at war is a world war 2 type era game. They are amazing.

Silent Hill 5, Dead Space, MAG, Dante’s Inferno, (Demo.) Demon’s Souls-depends what you like.

oh god, nhl 09 re-invented hockey games and 10 is good as well. World at war only sucks if you compare it to any other call of duty game. (i.e. Modern warfare 1 or 2) its not a bad game. but MW is alot better, smoother, more realistic. I also really enjoyed the FPS, Resistance Fall of man. And Uncharted just kicked ass.

Dead Space is fantastic. Almost beats RE4 at it’s own game.

For FPS I would say COD. Almost everybody who was on GTA4 switched to COD. Im still a noob though but I would still rate COD # 1

I got the COD World at War, it’s a good game. Except the two player mode sucks. What is happening with these two player games disapearing! I still have RL friends.

@Kiev749 – NHL 09 is sweet, I just started playing it. I love the personalized player option.
