What holiday should we dress for next?

My Town Dog avatar has recently dressed as a pirate, then with orange bows for Cak, then Christmas and now New Years. She rather enjoys wearing these different looks and is wondering what occasion she should prepare her wardrobe for next? There must be something between now and Valentine’s Day.

My birthday is a little over a month away. I expect everyone to have cake and hats. ~
January 10th is Save the Eagles Day. I’m not talking football. :P
Party hat. My birthday is the 4th. :)
@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities & @jonsblond – The Town Dog is wearing a party hat, it was for New Years but it would work for a birthday as well. Perhaps she should just continue wearing that until the birthdays are over?
@jaytkay – what exactly is the appropriate look for Groundhog Day??
@jonsblond They’re already at 11–4, I don’t really think they need saving. Ahh, why’d you have to edit and ruin my fun?
@rooeytoo Excellent! Thank Town Dog for me.
@jamcanfi74 – Town Dog thinks that is a long time to wait for a new look, she is a bit spoiled and impatient. Can’t you think of something before that?
Still waiting for the ground hog attire suggestions.
A shirt and a tie instead of your handsome bare chest?
I’m getting a little tired of the cutesy updates quite frankly. It all started with the orange “to show support” but it’s become like the Aids ribbons in every color known to man. Just pick an avatar and change it whenever you want. But I really think it was confusing and still is when AB’s use stars or gorgeous people. We never seemed to use idols as much as symbols or twists on stars. Just change at will but please don’t pretend that your Angelina Jolie or a more unrecognizable porn star.
at the least, it really confuses me when I’m flirting :P
I’m sure all dem Pagans got something lined up. Like, dress as naked Dumbledore day.
Australia Day? (January 26)
@SeventhSense AB’s did not invent the “celebrity avatar” idea. just sayin’
@SeventhSense – Town Dog thinks you sound like a cranky old fart and she doesn’t much care what you think about her seasonal decorations.
@jaytkay – We will have to get a new shot done, full body so that you can see her waistcoat. That might work!
February 6th: World Nude Day
Carnivale coincides with Valentines year. I’d personally like to see a Carmen Miranda look…
@mrentropy Well, Daloon has already got that one covered. Err… uncovered.
Chinese New Year! January 26th. I was in Vietnam for Chinese New Year (or Tet) last year, and it’s such a lovely celebration. Everybody is hopeful and happy, and the streets were full of dancers dressed as dragons and young men with drums. Chuc Mung Nam Moi!
Town Dog is now appearing as Carmen Miranda, what do you think?
@jonsblond – awwww shucks (blush, blush) Town Dog thanks you.
Carmen Miranda’s birthday is February 9.
You can dress for Martin Luther King day…eh?
Town Dog would be honored to dress as Martin Luther King, she is an Aboriginal dog.
And it is my birthday as well!
You don’t need a holiday to dress up. Let’s see her with a blue velvet bow and chandelier earrings, or perhaps a crown of flowers or a ruffled bonnet.
@SeventhSense, we had variable avatars, including some well-known faces, and seasonal themes around here long before most of us ever heard of AB. I know that some of us broke out the same holiday-themed avatars this year that we used last Christmas. I really think it’s bad form to start criticizing other people’s avatar images.
@Jeruba – she is doing her Carmen Miranda thing at the moment, but yes a blue velvet bow would be nice, that could be her next embellishment.
I love the Carmen Miranda look! Here’s a calender of holidays – every day is a holiday! It’s 2009, but hey, who cares. Today, for example, is Chocolate Covered Cherry Day.

@Eureka it’s also Humiliation Day!! LOL
is that for your own, or for humiliating someone else, I wonder…?
@ccrow After humiliate everyone, we can eat swiss cheese, have a super soaker battle, and then go to sleep. Another fine day!
@Eureka – thanks for that calendar, I might have trouble keeping up with a daily change, heheheheh
@ccrow – not so sure about that one, I think I like chocolate covered cherry day better!
You can have my Swiss cheese, I don’t like it!
@clairemagdalenaclaire Actually, Chinese New Year is based upon the lunar calendar so it is not on January 26 this year as it was last year. This year it is on February 14, and as much as I would love the Town Dog to dress up for Chinese New Year, I doubt it would win out over Valentine’s Day.
@iphigeneia ; thank you and forgive my poor research! I was going to have a Chinese New Year/Australia Day barbie and cook on my little Vietnamese table top bbq- you saved me from the shame of cultural ignorance! perhaps on Valentine’s I’ll rebel against Hallmark holidays and celebrate Tet instead.
@clairemagdalenaclaire You’re welcome :) I’d still heartily recommend you follow through with the barbecue though, yum!
@SeventhSense – that’s exactly what my old dog says! but the young one gets a kick out of playing dress up.
I guess I’ll be celebrating President’s Day next. Don’t know how to dress though. Any good suggestions?
Int’l Naked Day falls on January 15th this year.
Everyone shoud have a naked photo of themselves as their avatar.
@Zen_Again – you mean I should take the bows out of Town Dog’s ears?
My avatar is already naked, as far as you can tell.
