Uk users: can I use my abbey visa electron card in any banks cashpoint or do they charge?

E.g if I take cash out from a HSBC cashpoint will it charge extra if i use and abbey card?

Any cashpoint, although the shop cashpoints normally charge £1.50. But proper bank machines, you can use any.
I think it should tell you on the machine if their is going to be a charge.
Most mainline banks atm’s will not charge, though small shops and petrol stations sometimes do – but there should be a notice telling you this if they do charge.

Also does your card have a “link” logo on it? if so you’ll see the link logo on most bank machines and if you see that you shouldn’t be charged.
