Is there a condition when the scrolling thing supposed to go slow?

Asked by flo (13313points) January 4th, 2010

It goes zoom, fast up and down most of the time. When is it meant to go down slow, if ever?

It would be beneficial if you could describe this in better detail…
– are you referring to the cursor that you move with the mouse? There are settings in the computer’s control panel that can slow it down for you.

If you mean something else, please elaborate.

@hearkat Thanks for answering, by the way I just found that I have an answer by using the back arrow, it shows(1 new) and (0 new) when clicking on the forward arrow. Where is the best place to put this info to Fluther? Is there an open forum other than the blog?

2)My question, re. is the the scrolling bar on the right side of the screen. So, when I am trying to read what is at the bottom of the page or at the top of the page, I can just scroll, and at speed of light I am there. But if I am trying to copy and paste an the article, minus a small part, (which is the key part i don’t want to copy the whole article.) from the top or the bottom, the scrolling bar moves like molasses.
Maybe It is better if I avoid talking about the scroller bar. When I try to copy, the cursor is doing the job it is is highlighting but it is at a slow rate.
Thank you in advance.

We still need more details, and I probably can’t offer any additional advice, but perhaps someone else might.

Please provide:
The make and model of computer you are using, and what you use to control the cursor (mouse, touchpad, etc.)
– or make and model of the mobile device you are using;
The Browser you are using and which version (MS Explorer, Safari, Firefox, etc.);
and whether you only experience these issues with Fluther or with other sites, as well.

I hope that you find your answers!

@hearkat, thank you. It didn’t happen when using Fluther. I didn’t indicate that. But I use public library so it is too much to try and find out all the makes model numbers of things.
Again thank you for trying anyway.
